At the beginning of this school year, Michelle Malkin was alerting us to the fact that school kids (and their parents) were being indoctrinated to support Obama via political songs created for the children to sing at school events:

Indoctrination Watch: Obama school praise hymn of the day

Take a look at the Obama worship song that students at Longfellow Elementary in Howard County, MD were assigned to memorize last week, according to Red Maryland’s Brian Griffiths. A sample:

Barack Obama–Oh yes he rates,
The first Black President in the United States!
He’s smart and he’s–so so good!
He’ll lead this country as he should!
He wants us all to work together,
To make this country even better!
Prez’ Obama says–”Yes We Can!”
Make the US better–hand in hand!

At the time only one or two videos were found, Big Hollywood has found ELEVEN more videos, suggesting that this political indoctrination is more wide-spread than thought.

WEST HIGH SCHOOL — 12-6-08 Madison, Wi

Video Title: “Multico’s Finale is Obama’s victory speech!“

MORGAN PARK HIGH SCHOOL — 11-13-2008 Chicago, Ill

Video Title: “Change We Can Believe In-Song”

SCHOOL UNIDENTIFIED — 3-9-09
We were unable to locate this school’s name, but it says right on the video and in the notes that these are 7th graders.
Video Title: “Yes We Can – Barack Obama Music Video 7th Grade Version”

*****

GIFFEN ELEMENTARY — 2-12-09
The opening titles state the song’s video was written by the students of Mr. Dobson and Mrs. Dudley, which means these are 5th and 6th graders.

Video Title: “Barack Obama Rap”

POWELL ELEMENTARY – May 6, 2009
Though the age of the students in the video isn’t given, the website says the school’s age range is pre-kindergarten through the third grade.
Video Title: “Powell Elementary Present Kings of Rock”
Video Note: Ode to Obama, school kids in New Jersey celebrate Obamas win

Traditional Civics courses teach children to respect the institutions of the United States and out leaders.  The line gets crossed when schools stop celebrating the Institutions and celebrate the person and the policy. These videos cross the line.
