This Thanksgiving we have so much to be thankful for—not the least of which is that the New York Jets will not be playing tomorrow so the team’s fans will not have to suffer the indignity of another butt fumble.

Despite the fact that America faces internal threats from progressives who want to take away our constitutional freedoms, and threats from radical Islamic terrorists who would have us blown up into little pieces and scattered around the neighborhood there is no need to fear, because the United States is still the strongest and most free country God has ever created in this earth.

I am also thankful that I live here in the United States and that the anti-Semitic, anti-Capitalist administration of Barack Obama is no longer in power.

And that despite the hatred from the MSM and the obstruction of the Democrats, I’m thankful that Donald Trump has already started to fix the economy.

I am also thankful for you, readers of the Lidblog a group that continues to grow on a daily basis. But most importantly on this Thanksgiving,  I am thankful for my family and my friends without whom life would be very empty.

As Thanksgiving is tomorrow, I would be remiss in not wishing all of my readers a joyous holiday filled with the love of family and friends, good food, and good football.  Please don’t let the day go by without thanking the God of your choice for the freedom and bounty.  And please pray for the health and safety of our heroes fighting overseas and for the police, firemen, and other first responders who risk their lives to protect our families.

And the important turkey preparation instructions:

So the people on the Butterball helpline said: “Let the Thanksgiving turkey chill in the sink for a while.” It seemed strange but heck, they are the experts….

May You all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day, filled with the love of family and friends.
