Right Wing News polled more than 250 right-of-center bloggers on which candidate they’d support if the 2012 Republican primaries were today.
John Hawkins says this is one of the single most fascinating polls he’s ever done.
Sarah Palin won the likely contender poll, but second place? Surprisingly, it was Mitch “Truce on social issues” Daniels. The winner of the expanded poll? It wasn’t Palin, it was Chris Christie.
The losers were just as big a story as the winners. Newt Gingrich? Mitt Romney? Wow, has their stock fallen. And Mike Huckabee may have never been all that high to begin with in the blogosphere, but not a single vote for him as candidate? What a drop off. Also, last years’s GOP nominee, John McCain? No votes.
