Along with checking for his take on almost every story I write about, one of my first moves every morning is checking the latest political cartoon from Michael Ramirez, two-time Pulitzer Prize winner and Senior Editor and the Editorial Cartoonist for Investor’s Business Daily.

When Michael was a guest on the Hump Day News Report he told us that he had a new book coming out in the fall and that promise will be fulfilled this week with “Give Me Liberty Or Give Me Obamacare,” which goes on sale this Tuesday the 27th.

Ramirez  is a national treasure, combines an encyclopedic knowledge of the news with a captivating drawing style to create consistently outstanding thought provoking cartoons.  Like this one which won’t be in the book because it was published this week.

His new book has a forward by Vice President Dick Cheney and Afterward by Rush Limbaugh, Ramirez offers the conservative reader a compilation of his award-winning cartoons—and a way to remember the miserable past 6 1/2 years in a way that is not so miserable.  Like his cartoon this week which captured many writer’s feelings when we found out that Joe Biden wasn’t running.

BTW in case you are wondering, the answer is no, I am not being paid to write this, any regular reader of this site knows this blogger happens to be a huge fan of Michael Ramirez. I do have two problems with Ramirez, one is his cartoons always make me say , “DAMN! Why didn’t I think of that,” and the other he only publishes one cartoon a a day. Thats one of the reasons why I cannot wait till Tuesday to get my copy of  “Give Me Liberty or Give Me Obamacare,” —an entire book full of his prize winning cartoons. And if you want to join me in the fun you can order the book from Amazon by clicking here.

Until your book comes (and after also)  you can see Michael’s daily in the pages of Investor’s Business Daily by clicking and bookmarking here  or on his Facebook page by clicking here.
