Whether or not the Russians hacked the DNC server to make sure Trump won the election is yet to be determined. If that was their motivation it was unsuccessful. The day before Wikileaks started posting Jon Podesta’s emails Hillary had 48% of the vote according to the RCP average, she ended up with 48.2% of the vote.
But if the Russians were trying to make trump the POTUS, they may have gotten the idea from President Obama whose the State Department paid $350,000 in taxpayers grants to an Israeli group that used the money to build a campaign to oust Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in last year’s Israeli parliamentary elections according to the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. The money went to OneVoice who used the cash to build a voter database, train activists and hire a political consulting firm with ties to President Obama’s campaign — all to defeat the Prime Minister.
