James Comey’s testimony before congress was supposed to be a dream come true for democrats. Instead, they found themselves cursing under their breath.
Comey, the disgraced FBI Director fired by Donald Trump for his poor execution of his investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email scandal, testified before Congress in an open hearing today with a focus on his dismissal from the bureau. A great many inquiries were made during his nearly 3 hours on the stand, most with a focus on whether or not Comey believed that he was fired due to the FBI’s ongoing investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. While Comey’s answers were not at all what the liberals wanted to hear on Russia, when asked about a different matter altogether, the former Director absolutely demolished the hopes and dreams of the delusional democrats.
“For the first time, former FBI Director James Comey, who is testifying today before the Senate Intelligence Committee, said that President Obama’s Attorney General Loretta Lynch asked him to call the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email scandal a ‘matter’ and not an ‘investigation.’
“Under questioning by panel chairman Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC), Comey said that he was uncomfortable with the unexpected meeting Lynch had with former President Bill Clinton on an airport tarmac last year.
“Comey said that meeting convinced him that the independence of the investigation was tainted with regard to the Justice Department and led him to go public with the bureau’s findings on Clinton.”
While the left has been constantly pressuring the American people to see Donald Trump as some form of Russian Manchurian candidate, sent to the Oval Office to hand over the keys to America directly to Vladimir Putin, the reality of the situation is that Hillary Clinton was likely the more formidable threat to our democracy should she have been woefully elected. The career criminal Clinton, who was linked to numerous scandals in 2016 thanks to Wikileaks, had employed her husband, Bill, as a surrogate of sorts in campaign matters. The meeting in question between Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch completely rocked the faith of even the most ardent Clinton supporters, as the arrogance and openness of such a conflict of interest was appalling.
While the democrats are surely feeling deflated at this moment, given that Comey’s testimony was far less revolutionary than they were hoping, the rest of the nation has been given yet another glimpse into the corruption and collusion that is running rampant on the left side of American politics.
