By Jeff Dunetz and Joe Newby

Apparently Alan Grayson the clown prince of Congress was wrong, it’s not only the Republicans who want you to die. Bill Nye, the counterfeit science guy wants old people to cash in their chips and be put to bed with a shovel, because he believes their dirt nap will help end climate change.

In an interview in Wednesday’s Los Angeles Times, Nye said that older people have to die off before so-called “climate change” science can advance. The reason, he said, is that older people are more resistant to the environmentalist propaganda.

“It just sounds like people are scared,”he said. “It just sounds like people are afraid. And the people who are afraid in general — with due respect, and I am now one of them — are older. Climate change deniers, by way of example, are older. It’s generational. So we’re just going to have to wait for those people to ‘age out,’ as they say. ‘Age out’ is a euphemism for ‘die.’ But it’ll happen, I guarantee you — that’ll happen.”

He guarantees that all people die one eventually? WOW!! How did he know that???  Maybe he really is a science guy.

Allow me to suggest that older people may be skeptical because with age comes wisdom.  In other words, we aren’t buying the crap they are selling, because there are too many open questions and alternate rationales for the warming that stopped almost nineteen years ago.

A post at CNET that Nye takes the opposite view:

Death is, indeed, inevitable. But the received wisdom has it that people become more conservative as they age. Well, everywhere but California, where they simply smoke more pot. So won’t today’s young people become more like previous generations, grizzling at those who claim to have new answers?

Nye, though, came dangerously close to suggesting older people were dingbats.

To him, science began to become a dirty word in the 80s, when today’s older generation was in its prime. Science was, he said, replaced by the worship of money.

“It’s hard not to be critical of people who want to be ignorant but I don’t think it can last,” he said. “I don’t think the celebration of dingbatitude can stick with us because we’ll get out-competed by the non-dingbats.”

In its way, then, it does come down to money. The reason for scientific progress, in Nye’s view, is to keep America ahead economically.

An article at Young Conservatives wasn’t quite as forgiving, calling Nye’s suggestion, “pretty darn cold”:

… [T]hat’s a tolerant leftist for you.

Gee, wonder why older people tend to be deniers?

Because they were raised with actual science?

And before the environmental indoctrination began of young people in schools?

Of course, back then, we were encouraged and allowed to think for ourselves,  we were taught to learn by questioning and probing the ideas of others. We were also taught you were told that any science is settled it’s time for the B.S. button.

That’s no longer the case. Today the “institutes of higher learning” have become institutes of left-wing indoctrination centers where progressive professors spew propaganda and punish those who dare to speak out.

It wasn’t that long ago that the Bow-Tie Buffoon suggested to my friend Marc Morano of Climate Depot, that it would be appropriate to Jail folks who aren’t sure about the climate change hypothesis. Morano asked Nye about Robert F. Kennedy’s call to jail climate skeptics for treason and lock them up at The Hague (video of the segment is at bottom of this post)

Morano: “We interviewed Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the environmentalists. He said climate ‘deniers’, his words, Energy CEO’s belong at the Hague with three square meals and a cot with all of the other war criminals. What is your thought on that and do you think some of the rhetoric on your side — as I am sure both sides — gets too carried away. What is your thought on jailing skeptics as war criminals?”

Nye: “Well, we’ll see what happens. Was it appropriate to jail the guys from ENRON?”

Morano: “Interesting.”

Nye: “So, we will see what happens. Was it appropriate to jail people from the cigarette industry who insisted that this addictive product was not addictive and so on? And you think about in these cases — for me as a taxpayer and voter — the introduction of this extreme doubt about climate change is affecting my quality of life as a public citizen. So I can see where people are very concerned about this and are pursuing criminal investigations as well as engaging in discussion like this.”

Morano also asked Nye about the “chilling effect” of threatening investigations and jail to scientists who dissent on man-made global warming claims.

Nye responded: “That there is a chilling effect on scientists who are in extreme doubt about climate change — I think is good. The extreme doubt about climate change people – without going too far afield here – are leaving the world worse than they found it because they are keeping us from getting to work. They are holding us back.”

Now though Nye is getting more aggressive, he doesn’t want to overload the jails, he just want seniors to go toes up in the marble orchard.

I won’t wish Bill Nye the same, but I do hope that one day he’s recognized by the MSM for the fraudster he is and everyone realizes  Bill Nye is nothing but an insensitive A-hole guy!
