From last Thursday (5/5) through this Tuesday (5/10) we ran a poll to get an idea of which way Lid readers leaned in the Presidential Election. While not projectable it does give an anecdotal indication of what our audience which we project to be conservatives, libertarians, and Republicans were thinking in the immediate aftermath of Trump’s final GOP opponents dropping out of the campaign.

Almost 60% of the readers plan on voting for Trump,  a number that will have to grow as the campaign season goes on for Trump to win.  About a quarter of respondents are looking for a third party candidate to emerge, 7% to libertarian Gary Johnson, 2% to Hillary, and 8% will not vote on the POTUS line.

We will be doing the poll again, next time we will ask party affiliation and other political questions to learn the politics behind your decision (but that is in the future).
